The Square
Created for the Casa Rolão Exhibition (September 2016), celebrating the opening of the Concept Store Braga, these pieces draw inspiration from the design of the Central Square where the historic house stands.
The jewellery pieces reinterpret the architectural lines and the spirit of the place, paying tribute to one of Braga’s most iconic buildings.

In the 18th century, Casa Rolão was commissioned in the former Campo de Sant’Ana by Carlos Rulam, a French silk manufacturer and merchant. At the time, the area was thriving with energy and ambition: the local clergy built grand constructions as symbols of power and foresight, attracting skilled artisans and prominent traders. The Rolão family thus chose this privileged location, where luxury and culture intertwined.

Inspired by this legacy, Ana Bragança Jewellery sought to celebrate not only the Casa Rolão itself but also the urban space surrounding it — a site of artistic and historical significance for Braga, now reimagined in contemporary jewellery form.
